How to Check Your IPTV Expiry Date (and What Happens When It Runs Out)

Your IPTV expiry date lives on your provider's server, not in the app on your TV. Some Xtream Codes players show it on an account or user-info screen after you log in; M3U-only setups usually cannot show it at all. If you see 'account invalid or expired', the server has stopped accepting your login. TVNado plans are prepaid and never renew automatically, so nothing is charged on the end date: renew from the pricing page and your existing login keeps working.

Knowing how to check your IPTV expiry date saves you from the worst surprise in streaming: a blank channel list five minutes before kick-off. This guide sits in our IPTV troubleshooting huband covers where the date is kept, which players can show it, what the "account invalid or has expired" message really means, and how renewal works on a prepaid TVNado plan.

Where your IPTV expiry date is actually stored

Your provider sets the expiry date and keeps it with your account on its server. The app on your TV only displays what the server tells it. When you buy a plan, the provider creates an account made of three login details (a server URL, a username and a password) and attaches an end date to it.

Because the player is only a front end, a few things follow:

  • Deleting the app, reinstalling it or switching to another player does not change the date.
  • Every device logged in with the same details shares the same end date.

If two dates disagree, the account record on the provider's side is the one that decides whether channels play.

How to check it in IPTV Smarters, TiviMate and other players

Log in, then look for an account, user-info or playlist-info screen: some players show the end date there, others never show it. When you log in with Xtream Codes details, the player asks the server for your account information, and whether it then displays an end date is a choice each app developer makes.

IPTV Smarters Pro, TiviMate, XCIPTV and IBO Player all rearrange their menus between releases, so we do not publish menu paths that may be out of date. Look in the account or settings area for a line labelled expiry, end date or status.

What you can see depends mostly on how you logged in:

Your setupCan the app show the date? Most reliable way to confirm
Server URL, username and password (Xtream Codes login) in a player with an account screenIt may, on an account or user-info screenCompare it with the date you paid; ask the provider if it looks wrong
Server URL, username and password in a player without an account screenNoAsk the provider
An M3U playlist link onlyNo, the playlist is a channel listAsk the provider, or log in with the three details instead
A paid upgrade bought inside the player appYes, but that is the app's own licence dateIgnore it for your IPTV plan

Treat a date in the app as a prompt, not the final word. TVNado customers can ask support on WhatsApp to confirm their end date; support runs 24/7, so you can check at any hour.

Why an M3U link can't tell you

An M3U link cannot show your expiry date, because a playlist is a list of channel names and stream addresses with no account fields for a player to read. There is simply nowhere in the file for an end date to live.

An M3U-only setup gives you no warning: the streams simply stop once the plan ends. If you want a player that can display account details, log in with the server URL, username and password instead of the link. TVNado sends those three details on WhatsApp with every plan, and our TVNado login guide shows where to enter them.

What 'account invalid or has expired' means

The message means the server refused your login. The wording comes from the player, and many players show the same sentence whatever the reason for the refusal, so "expired" is only one of four possible causes:

  1. The plan ended. The end date has passed and the server no longer accepts the account.
  2. A typo in the login. Usernames and passwords are case-sensitive, and an extra space from copy and paste is enough to fail.
  3. An old or wrong server URL. The details are right but they are being sent to the wrong address.
  4. A trial line that has run out. TVNado's free trial lasts 24 hours, after which the trial login stops working.

If you have ruled out the first cause and the error stays, work through our fix for IPTV Smarters "failed to authorize" errors, which goes through credentials, server URLs and VPN problems in order.

Expired, or something else?

An expired plan fails on every channel, on every device and in every app at once, from the end date onwards. Most other faults are narrower: one device, one network or one group of channels. Use the pattern to work out which one you have before you pay for anything:

What you seeLikely causeQuick check
Every channel fails on every device and app, from around the day your plan was due to endPlan expiredConfirm the date with the provider, then renew
Login error on every device, but the plan should still be activeTypo in the login or an old server URLRe-enter the details from the original message

Fails on home broadband but plays on mobile dataHome network or ISP blockRestart the router, then test again
Some channels play, others do notA channel or source fault, not expiryTry the channel later and refresh the list

The connection-limit row matters on shared plans: TVNado plans are sold for 1 to 4 devices, and a stream left running in another room uses one of those slots.

Renewing a TVNado plan

Renew by choosing a plan on the TVNado plans and prices page and paying for it; your existing login keeps working afterwards. TVNado plans are prepaid with no contract, no automatic renewal and no cancellation fee, so nothing is charged when the end date passes and each renewal is a fresh choice at the price shown on the day you renew.

PlanPrice (1 device)Months of service
1 Month$19.991
3 Months$29.993
6 Months$39.996
12 Months + 2 FREE$69.9914

The 12-month plan delivers 14 months of service, so it is also the plan with the fewest renewals. According to the TVNado FAQ, you keep the same login credentials after renewal, so there is nothing to re-enter on your devices.

If you renew before the end date and want to know exactly how the new period is applied to your account, ask support before you pay rather than assuming. The 7-day money-back guarantee covers a first payment only, not renewals; the TVNado refund policy has the full terms.

A reminder that actually works

Put the end date in your phone's calendar with an alert three days before it. Because a prepaid plan never attempts a payment, there is no failed charge or bank alert to warn you, so your own reminder is the only one you can count on.

Three days gives you time to confirm the date and renew without rushing during a game. Not a customer yet? The free 24-hour IPTV trial needs no card, and the login details arrive on WhatsApp within minutes.

Quick answers

Why did my IPTV stop working on the same day each month?

Each plan has its own end date, and service stopping on a regular date usually means a 1-month plan ran out. Confirm the date before assuming a fault.

Does IPTV renew automatically?

Not with TVNado: plans are prepaid and end unless you renew. Other sellers set their own terms, so check before you pay.

Can I renew IPTV before it expires?

Yes, you can renew whenever you choose. Ask support how the renewal applies to your account before paying.
